Meet Your Guide
Tirra-Omilade Hargrow
Spiritual Guide • Initiated Priestess • Your Sister-Friend on the Path

Headshot_edited_edited.jpg

Hey Queen. I’m Tirra — your guide, your sister-friend, and the founder of The Sacred Calabash. I don’t just teach this path… I’ve lived it. I’ve walked through the fire, prayed at the altar, danced for the ancestors, and listened closely to the voice of spirit.

I’ve been walking the Orisha path since 2002 — over two decades of devotion, learning, and spiritual becoming. I’ve been twice initiated as a Priestess, including into the sacred mysteries of Yemoja. I’m also an astrologer, oracle reader, circle facilitator, hypnotherapist, and lifelong student of ancient feminine wisdom.

The Sacred Calabash was born from both deep experience and deep urgency.

Too many women receive their ilekes and then feel confused, spiritually unsupported, and unsure of what comes next.

And in these modern, tumultuous times — when the world continues to devalue, police, and pressure women and people of color — we need more than just information.

We need anchoring.
We need community.
We need ancestral traditions that protect us, guide us, and empower us to rise.

This initiatory journey is here to offer that: a soft, sacred beginning for the Aborisha path — one rooted in clarity, culture, and the divine feminine.

In my spaces, your power is sacred. Your softness is protected. Your ancestors are welcome.
And your story? It belongs here.

If your Ori is nudging you, Queen — come walk this with me.

Let’s remember together.

Step Onto the Sacred Path: Enrollment Opening Soon

The Sacred Calabash Ileke Initiation is a 12-week journey for women who desire to be formally initiated into the Orisha tradition.

It is a sacred, guided path for those seeking to become official devotees — with structure, community, and spiritual support every step of the way.

Rooted in Yoruba cosmology and the wisdom of the Great Mother, this experience is designed to:

🌿 Help women step consciously and confidently into the Orisha tradition,
🌺 Provide foundational teachings and rituals to ensure clarity and direction on the path,
🌍 Support the reclamation of spiritual heritage, especially for women of African descent, women of color, and all women called to reconnect with the wisdom of their ancestors.
🌀 And anchor them in daily practices that improve their lives spiritually, emotionally, and energetically as Orisha devotees.

It’s more than a class.
It’s a sacred beginning.

A spiritual homecoming.

A guided initiation into a tradition that has held our people across generations and continents.

Have you ever felt the weight of being disconnected from your ancestral roots, yearning for a spiritual path that truly resonates with your soul?

For many women, the quest to find a meaningful connection with the divine often leads to frustration and despair. The desire to embrace one's spiritual heritage is overshadowed by a sense of loss and uncertainty, particularly when modern religious structures fail to provide the depth and authenticity they seek.

This disconnect from ancient wisdom creates a void, leaving them feeling fragmented and incomplete, as if a crucial piece of their identity is missing.

The fear of stepping into the unknown without guidance adds another layer of complexity. Many aspiring devotees worry about choosing the wrong mentor or community, fearful of being misled or misunderstood.

This apprehension makes it incredibly difficult to embark on a spiritual journey with confidence. The abundance of scattered information only adds to the confusion, making it challenging to discern the right path.

This overwhelming sea of advice often leaves women feeling isolated and spiritually lost, unsure of how to begin or sustain their journey toward spiritual fulfillment.

For those who wish to align with the Orisha tradition, the lack of a clear, culturally affirming initiation path poses a significant obstacle. The longing for spiritual grounding and liberation remains unfulfilled when the means to achieve it are elusive.

This struggle to find a supportive and sacred environment further exacerbates feelings of hopelessness. Women yearn for a space where they can reclaim their power, rooted in ancestral wisdom, yet the absence of such guidance leaves them adrift, unable to fully embrace their spiritual potential.

Imagine stepping into a life where your spiritual roots are not just a distant echo, but a vibrant melody guiding your every step....

In this life, you rise each morning with a sense of purpose, deeply connected to the ancient wisdom of your ancestors.

The rituals you practice are not mere routines, but sacred acts that ground you in your truth and align you with the universe.

Your sacred ilekes, charged and full of energy, are constant reminders of your journey and the divine protection you carry.

You find yourself moving through the world with a newfound confidence, knowing that you are supported by a lineage

of powerful women and the Orisha themselves.

Picture a community where you are seen, heard, and celebrated for the unique light you bring. This is a sisterhood that holds you, not just in times of joy, but in moments of vulnerability and growth. Together, you gather in sacred circles, sharing stories, rituals, and wisdom that uplift and transform.

Each session leaves you feeling rejuvenated, your spirit nourished by the collective energy and love. The shared experiences create bonds that transcend time and space, offering you a network of support that is both spiritual and deeply personal.

Envision a spiritual path that is clear and affirming, where every question leads to deeper understanding and every challenge is met with guidance and love. The teachings you receive are more than knowledge; they are keys unlocking the doors to your spiritual sovereignty.

You are no longer overwhelmed by scattered information; instead, you navigate your journey with clarity and intention. As you deepen your practice, you feel a profound sense of liberation, stepping fully into your power as a spiritually sovereign woman.

Your life is a testament to the beauty and strength of reclaiming ancestral wisdom, and you walk this path with grace and courage, forever rooted in your divine purpose.

For women who feel disconnected from their ancestral roots, this program offers a meaningful way to reconnect with ancient wisdom and traditions. It provides a structured, supportive path for those seeking a deeper understanding and alignment with the Orisha tradition, offering foundational teachings and rituals that ensure clarity and direction. This journey is particularly beneficial for those who have felt spiritually lost or overwhelmed by scattered information, as it offers a clear and culturally affirming way to initiate into a spiritual system that feels whole and healing.

The program's unique approach includes immersive audio modules and live sessions, creating a rich tapestry of learning experiences that blend ritual, ancestral wisdom, and feminine power. By participating in bi-weekly sacred circles and live Q&A sessions, participants gain spiritual companionship and guidance, helping them to step confidently into their spiritual path. The culmination in a live virtual ceremony marks a significant rite of passage, providing participants with sacred beads as a tangible symbol of their initiation and commitment.

Additionally, the companion guidebook enhances the journey by serving as a living document of personal growth and spiritual revelations. This guidebook encourages reflection and offers templates for creating personal ceremonies, helping participants to integrate and apply their learnings in daily life. With space for journaling and tracking spiritual progress, it supports the ongoing journey of becoming a spiritually sovereign woman, rooted in tradition and aligned with divine purpose.

Tirra-Omilade as a new iyalorisha (priestess) of Yemoja

🌿 Why I Created The Sacred Calabash

Part of reclaiming our power as spiritually sovereign women requires that we return to the ancient ways — to the traditions that held our ancestors long before colonization, patriarchy, and religious erasure took hold.

I created The Sacred Calabash as an initiatory path for women ready to step into the Ifa/Orisha tradition in a way that is intentional, supported, and sacred.

This tradition is one of the most powerful spiritual systems for women because it is:

Rooted in feminine wisdom — with goddesses and feminine archetypes like Yemoja, Oshun, and Oya leading the way

🪔 Built on ancestral connection — not abstract, but personal and direct

🌿 Aligned with nature and the earth — healing not just our spirits, but our relationship with the planet

So many women get initiated into this tradition — they receive their ilekes, go through the ceremonies — but are left feeling lost, disconnected, and unsure of what to do next.

That’s not how it’s meant to be.

The Sacred Calabash Ileke Initiation is my answer to that.
A sacred container where women don’t just become devotees — they become spiritually grounded, ritually equipped, and deeply rooted in the Ifa/Orisha way of life.

This program is for the woman who wants to do more than check a box.

She wants to embody the tradition.
She wants to live it.

More details to come...

Sistar, thank you for your patience as this sacred space continues to unfold.
I’ll be adding more details soon — including upcoming livestreams, gatherings, and deeper information about the initiation itself: what’s included, the investment, and what to expect.

Your Iya is tending this offering with deep love (and yes, I’m a one-woman spiritual studio over here), so it may take a moment to get it all placed beautifully.

In the meantime, please enjoy the recordings and reflections already here. They’re meant to nourish you while we prepare for what’s next.

✨ Thank you for being here. You are deeply appreciated.
